Mini Music for Toddlers
Musician and educator, Julia Fernandez, is a classically trained vocalist originally from Honolulu, Hawaii. Her career has spanned over two decades in professional oratorio and opera performance across the USA and Europe. Educated in Music at Westminster Choir College in Princeton, NJ and at Penn State, Abington, PA, Julia was recently named an Artist in Residence at Lehigh University in Bethlehem, PA.
In addition to her concert work, Julia has served as Assistant Director of a children’s choir in Swarthmore, PA and is an active liturgical musician, performing professionally prepared live music for Christian and Jewish services throughout the tri-state area. She holds a current staff musician contract in Princeton, NJ working with adults and children.
Now in her fifth year as an educator with Summit Public Schools, “Ms. Julia” brings warmth, patience, and a child- focused approach to her work. She has experience working with children of all abilities, including ESL learners, the neurodiverse, and disabled.
In her free time, Julia is an active homeroom mom in each of her two children’s schools. A go-to chaperone for any class trip or school function, Julia serves on the Boards of multiple parent/teacher organizations. She is excited to partner with Popsical to share the joy of music-making with even more families!
